We have to call a generic method for doing the same .(since it can be done for multiple grid.) PFB the code snippet we use. The bolded part of the code is used to loop inside a grid view.(Not Working.)Is this ideal way to deal with the requirement. I have an access database that has three tables: user table, shift table (describing the shifts available), and a schedule table (that stores shift by shift_id and user by user_id).
When that you don't want to update when you're changing an existing item.
It looks as though you can't use keys if you are using templates fields or if you are not using the built in data controls.
I haven't had time to verify this but that seemed to be the case from reading this.
Please help me with writing a Row Updating function in C#, I don't know how to grab the current field's value and also get the old value for one of keys (which is Project Name for editing) of the selected row. the idea wa to don't allow binding the grid view after a post back.
hello my problem was that my gridview editable controls heep their old values. this is due to the grid view binding in the page_load method after every post back.
